Taken by trees - East of Eden
So because of the fact that I lazily spent my day watching L word season 5 and covered my eyes most times when Bette and Jodi make out (o.0), I, therefore, [almost] procrastinated to listen to some new music…. Ugh, mind you, gay drama weighs my emotions down.
Anyways, props to Dr. Pepper for the caffeine so I could (finally !!) turn up my speakers.

Ex front-woman of Concretes, Victoria Bergsman, now goes by Taken by trees calms me by the joy and peace of listening to the freshly released second album: East of Eden. Undoubtedly, the album is the perk of the night. Smoothly [shaped] in 10 tracks with total running time of 32 minutes, given a sketchy yet awaiting, tentative feelings. Delivered songs with love, loss and a bit of bitter manners, Bergsman blows charms through intrigue vocal. Tracks such as “To lose someone”, “Greyest love of all”, “Day by day” breeze fresh, pure smell of grass, sleepy heads and never ending mountains views. Recorded entirely in Pakistan, East if Eden carries heavy influences from little to big culture norms and attitude : the cherrish handclaps from background, Splashes of lively acoustic guitar, flute and Eastern violin in the background compliment her voice in gentle touches, yet draw peaceful wandering green fields, blue sky, of freedom and imaginary, carefree lives . Beautifully made, East of Eden is a content, adventurous album; a relatively short 30 minutes escape that one needs in this dreamy Fall weather, when Love slightly lays you down with soft lips and playful touchy fingers.
Let’s stay in bed all day.
